What is the goal of the Be A Part Challenge? This $650,000 challenge goal is consistent with the sacrificial giving potential of churches very similar to ours. While not easy or automatic, this goal is reasonable. With God’s help we can do this. We are asking each household at lifechurch to prayerfully consider what the Lord would have you do to achieve this challenge goal. The chart on the left illustrates the impact of consistent giving over time. Recognizing that the ability to give sacrificially varies depending on what the Lord has entrusted to you, we are asking each household to commit to equal sacrifice – not equal giving. There is no average. Your commitment should reflect what you believe the Lord would desire you to do. Jesus makes clear in Mark 12: 41-42, it is not the size of the gift, but the size of the sacrifice that matters. It is exciting to think how much can be accomplished when every family in the church participates! This commitment should reflect over-and-above giving only. Re-directing current giving to Be a Part will detract from current ministry and mission. We are asking that each household prayerfully consider how the Lord has provided for you and then seek the Lord’s guidance in deciding what your level of sacrificial giving – giving over and above your current giving – will be. |
